BEIJING, July 22 (Xinhua) -- China will further increase international cooperation in fighting corruption and actively learn useful methods and experience from other countries, said He Guoqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Tuesday.

     "China will be more active in punishing and preventing corruption efficiently," he said at a working conference here on issues regarding the second stage for implementing the Anti-corruption Convention of the United Nations.

     China will show that the Party and the government can deliver on the promises, carry out the duties set by the convention and firmly crack down on corruption, so as to creating a sound international environment for fighting corruption and advocating clean governance, said He, also secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).

     He said the implementation of the UN convention would be integrated with the implementation of the country's working plan for setting and perfecting the mechanism for punishing and preventing corruption between 2008-2012.
